As a child one of my favorite parts of the holiday season is the baking. My mom is one heck of a baker and her mom was even better. We always had plates and plates of baked goodies, cookies, bar, pies, cakes, etc. My grandmother and mother showed my brother and I how to bake. And it is something we enjoy thoroughly. Although, needless to say, we have a ways to go to be at their caliber of baking, but practice makes perfect. Because holiday baking is such a treasured part of my childhood I wanted to share some of my fondest childhood recipes and even a few new ones. So over the coming weeks leading up to Christmas, I will be sharing some of favorite recipes that have been acquired over the years.
